I’ve always been fascinated by the details, big and small, that make a space extraordinary, from clever architecture to the finishing touches that make a house feel like home.
As a photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing some incredible WA homes and meeting the talented creatives behind them. Havenist was born from a desire to go beyond the finished photographs and celebrate the vision, craftsmanship and creativity that bring these spaces to life.
With Issue #9, our first annual edition, we celebrate another year of exceptional WA art, design and lifestyle, and the creative minds and remarkable spaces that make it all possible.

Jody D’Arcy

Jody is a self-confessed ‘cloud collector’, design devotee and one of Australia’s leading interior and architectural photographers. As founder of Havenist, she champions Western Australia’s creative talent and most distinctive havens. Her work appears in Belle, Vogue Living and The Design Files, while her cloudscapes and landscapes have become sought-after fine art prints, adorning beautiful homes and boutiques, including Louis Vuitton.
Kelli Savietto
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
As a graphic designer and artist, Kelli brings a considered eye to editorial design and visual storytelling. Of Nyikina and Yawuru heritage from WA’s Kimberley, she runs a creative practice specialising in Indigenous-led design and illustration, collaborating across the arts, architecture, education, health, community and corporate sectors to create meaningful contemporary design.
Elizabeth Clarke
FEATURES DIRECTOR + STYLIST
Elizabeth is a design writer who has worked with luxury brands including Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Ralph Lauren. A former fashion editor, she writes for Havenist and has contributed to Domain, Prestige, AFR, The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald for over a decade. She also leads marketing for The Heritage Collective’s award-winning spaces in Cottesloe.
Andrew Thornton Hick
BRAND AMBASSADOR
With a decade spent in furniture design and interiors across Europe, Andrew brings over 25 years of creative expertise. He has reviewed Milan’s design shows, launched his own furniture collections internationally and completed residences in four countries. In 2023, he won Sculpture by the Bay. Andrew is represented by a Milan gallery and is the art ambassador for the Margaret River Region Open Studios.
